Our scholars in TK-8th grade are enriching and enlarging their world through rigorous academics, stimulating electives including fine and performing arts, and an expansive sports program. Named after trailblazing community advocate Blanca Alvarado, this was the first Alpha Public School.

Extended Day
Before and After School Care
- You can drop off your children at 7:30am and get to work on time. We have 4 staff who supervise students before school and also provide after school care for TK and K who get out of school 1.5 hours earlier than their older siblings. This way, you can pick up all of your children at the later dismissal time.
Boys and Girls Club
- These fun, skill-building programs provide mentors, meals, and meaningful life experiences. The program begins immediately after school through 6pm, everyday.

Jin Yun
Principal, Alpha: Blanca Alvarado School
My focus is on expanding opportunities and access for our students. As a first-generation immigrant myself I understand the obstacles and challenges many of our students face. It’s why I’m in this work and am here to walk the path with them.
Many Alpha: Blanca Alvarado students are multilingual, so we build English Language Development (ELD) into all content areas. We have 3 team members focused specifically on ELD programming to support students’ language growth and development.
Our teachers are passionate and committed. They partner with our families and celebrate their students’ success, even the small ones, with authenticity. Because of this, every student knows they’re valued.
